Christmas 2011

Presley loved Christmas this year, she thought every present she opened was the best present ever.

This year we decided to pack up and head to Utah for Christmas, everyone was so excited to be with there cousins. Max got Beyblades for Christmas and this was a family tournament. The kids played with these the entire time we were in Utah.

They couldn't wait to try out there new scooters.

Every time we are together we try and get a picture of all the girls in a matching outfits, I can't believe how big they are getting.

This year I saw this little gingerbread village, and thought what a good idea. Every kid gets their own, no fighting over who gets to decorate what part of the house. Everyone was Happy!

Bo didn't cry, he just kept looking at Santa trying to figure out who he was.

Our yearly trip to the Nutcracker, and we were lucky enough to be able to go back stage again to see the dancers.

Our group keeps growing each year.

Annual Christmas Tree Cutting 2011

This year was a quick and easy trip, to get our Christmas tree. There was no snow, and the weather was nice. The kids always have a great time exploring and looking for the perfect tree.

Thanksgiving Day, couldn't have asked for nicer weather.

This was what we woke up to last Saturday. I'm not ready for the snow but Presley is, she was so excited to see the snow that she wanted to get all her snow clothes on.

Sea Island 2011

This year we went to Sea Island, Georgia. We stayed in a great house on this little island that had so much fun things to do. We played tennis, rode bikes, went to the beach, swam at the pool, went fishing, and went on walks. Thanks everyone for another great family trip.

This year my family decided to come to Denver to visit us. With all 23 of us in my house there was never a dull moment, but we had a blast! It was a great few days playing in the sun, and spending time with all my siblings.

Presley has always loved shoes, here she is with Tyler's flip flops. What an interesting way to wear them.

She also loves sunglasses and is the first child to actually keep them on. She will where them for hours. We got these sunglasses from a friend and she wore them for days.

Bitter Sweet, March 20th!

Many of you know that we were hoping to make it to March 20th with this baby, since all are other kids were born on the 20th. So when we made it to the 20th we were so excited and couldn't wait to meet Bo. We checked into the hospital at 7:30, after a few hours the doctor came in and checked on me and said I was ready to go. After a few pushes little Bo was here. We were all so excited and thought he was adorable. He was healthy and we were grateful for an easy delivery. An hour after Bo was born Brett talked to his parents and they said Max was not doing good and was breathing really fast and hard. So we decided we needed to take him to get checked out. Brett left me at the hospital and went and got Max. After a few test they wanted to send him to another hospital that would be better for his needs. So off Brett and Max went in the ambulance to St Lukes, while I stayed with Bo. After 6 long days of being in the hospital Max got to come home, almost. All the doctors recommended we keep the baby away for a few more days. So we had Max go to Brett's parents house. So after a week and a half of being apart we finally got to bring Max home. It was a long week but we got through it, thanks for all the calls and prayers it made it easier. We are so happy Bo is here and that both our boys are doing great!

Happy Birthday Max! Max chose his birthday dinner and he wanted waffles with coconut syrup, and popcorn (pop pop as Max calls it) for dessert. What more could a 4 year old want for a birthday dinner.

I can't get enough of this kid, and that adorable smile!

This year Max wanted his birthday party at Chuck E Cheese, it wasn't a surprise since he asked to go there at least two times a week. Maybe someday he will understand how money works and not ask to go all the time.

I think I would be more sad about Presley turning 2 if number four was not going to be here in just a few short weeks. I can't believe how grown up she already is. I love her smile, and how happy she always is. We love you Presley!!!

We went up to Breckenridge for the weekend and the kids had so much fun ice skating, sledding, and swimming. Sometimes I think the kids enjoy staying at a hotel almost as much as doing the fun activities.

Holiday Happenings

We had another great Christmas this year. We stayed in Colorado which was nice because we didn't have to pack or unpack a million times, or worry about getting stuck in a snow storm.

This year we went to my parents house with my sister and brother and their families. One brother could not make it, we missed him and his family lots. The kids had a great time playing with each other and enjoying Nana and Grandpas great big backyard. We also enjoyed Training Table cheese fries and lots of snow cones.

Here is our ship that we set sail on our voyage to Cozumel, Honduras, Belize, and Costa Maya.

Every night when we got to our room, we had a new animal waiting for us.

Thanks Nana for the Easter outfits, the kids looked adorable.

Max got a new golf set for Easter and it was a hit, he played it all day and is still playing it all day. He even needed to bring it to Mimi and Papa's for dinner.

Look closely at the picture, Max has blue medical gloves on. He was watching golf with Brett and he saw that all the golfers had gloves on so he wanted his own gloves.

What a great Christmas spending time with family and doing lots of fun activities. We went out to Utah after Christmas and had a great time. The cousins loved seeing each other and I had a great time shopping, eating, skiing, going to the movies, sledding and much more with my family. Thanks for a great time everyone!

Before we went to see Santa this year we took the kids to the store to pick something out for sub for santa, to try and teach them that it's not all about getting presents at Christmas. Maybe next year he will understand.

The Nutcracker

Last Saturday we went to see the Nutcracker, it was a fun day of having lunch and spending time with just the girls. We started this tradition last year and I have to say this years performance was much better then last years (last year we went to a local high schools performance).

We got to go back stage and see the dancers getting ready for the second half. I think this might have been the highlight for the girls, seeing the dancers up close.

So Brett asked me if I remember halloween being an all week event when I was growing up and I told him no, he told me maybe we should go back to the old ways. He can't believe how many halloween events the kids have.

Yes this is us sledding on Halloween day, this is after the big snow storm that we had, we wanted to take advantage of a sledding day, since the snow doesn't last very long in Colorado.

Magical Kingdom

So here we are at the magical kingdom and it was a great time. The weather was wonderful, the kids had a blast, and we adults even got to sneak a few rides in. I was so excited for Tyler, she was tall enough to go on most of the big kid rides and she loved them. She even went on the California Screamin. Which is the big roller coaster that you go up side down on, which ended up being her favorite ride. Thanks everyone for a great trip.

The park was decorated so cute for Halloween.

Brett and I decided that between the overpriced mickey ears and the over priced giant suckers that our kids wanted (that they had two bites of and we ended up throwing away the rest) that this place knows how to get your money.

We decided to take a break from Disneyland and head to the beach for a day, that was a great decisions. We all needed a break from the crowds and the lines.

Lake Powell 2009

Once again Lake Powell was a great trip. Good food, great friends, wonderful weather, and nothing major went wrong with the house boat or speed boat what more could you ask for.

This was the most entertaining part of the trip, Erin and Sverre trying to surf on the same board, we definitely got a good laugh out of this one.

All the cousins were in town for the weekend, so we had to take a picture of all the little ones.

After all my complaining about how much time Brett is gone golfing he decided to take the kids with him and give me a nice relaxing Saturday. I don't know who enjoyed it more the kids or me.

Max has been asking to go golfing with Daddy for about 6 months, so we finally took him to go miniature golfing and needless to say he loved it! Tyler kept asking him how he liked miniatures golf and he kept saying no golf coarse with daddy, He didn't like the idea that he was not golfing where his daddy golfs.

Can't get happier then this.

A few weekends ago we went up to our good friends the Klomps cabin, we went four wheeling, golfing, and enjoyed great company. Thanks again for a great weekend.

First Day of Kindergarten

Tyler started Kindergarten and was not sad or scared for one minute, I guess she was ready to start. I on the other hand was sad to see my little girl go off to school, this is the beginning of many years. I held back the tears in front of Tyler, but broke down in the car. Max kept asking me what was wrong, how do you tell a two year old what is wrong. I'm so excited for Tyler, but I'm going to miss her! This is the first day at the bus stop, the girls couldn't wait to get on the bus.

Utah Summer Fun

We went to Utah for a few weeks and had lots of fun spending time with family, seeing old friends and enjoying summer. We first stayed at our friends house the Edwards who helped us teach Tyler how to ride her bike. Look how happy she was to learn to ride without training wheels. Thanks for a great time!

Getting pictures for Nana went pretty smoothly considering how many little ones there were.

We went up in the moutains for a picnic, the kids has so much fun hiking and exploring. Notice Max in the following pictures, he is either eating or drinking in all of them. Every time I would turn around he was getting into something, he loved Nana's house and all the snacks.

Midway Trip

This year we went to Midway, Utah with Brett's family, it was a great time as always. Swimming, biking, golfing, horse riding, fireworks, train rides, and alpine slide what more could you ask for. It was so fun to see all the babies together and of course Mimi had matching outfits for more then one day for all the girls.

So after being in the car for 8 hours and just can't wait to be home, you will change a diaper just about anywhere.

Trying to get a good picture of all four of them at the same time was difficult.

The fireworks were a little to loud for Max.

Tyler was so excited to go horse riding until it was time to get on the horse and she realized how big the horse was, good thing Max was not scared and got right up on his horse which helped encourage Tyler to get on her horse.

Fairy Camp

Susan and six other grandmas got together and had a fun fairy day for all the little grand daughters. They all got matching tees, crowns, and fairy houses, they had great food and great decorations. Can't wait to see what they add for next year. Thanks Mimi for a great day!

June's Journey's

So Tyler has been taking gymnastics for about a year now and I finally got around to taking a picture of her.

Camping at 4 mile creek. Brett has been dying to go camping and as many of you know he got me a new family tent and a family sleeping bag this year for Christmas, wasn't that thoughtful of him. So we finally took the whole family camping, it was a great time. Brett planned all the food and cooked it to, it was delicious dutch oven cooking that might have been why it was such a good trip, no cooking or cleaning the kitchen for me for three whole days.

I think Max has seen me feeding Presley a few to many times.

A trip to the zoo, I think the kids are sometimes more excited to play these drums then see the animals.

A visit to Bellview park. My kids love this park, petting zoo, train ride, and stream to play in, what more could kids ask for.

Tyler was so excited for her first tooth to fall out, she told me she had a loose tooth a few weeks ago and I said sure. I guess she really did.

She let dad pull it out and was very brave, she didn't even cry.

So last week Max had a cold that turned into a hospital stay for 4 whole days. If any of you have a 2 year old you know how awful this would be. I felt so bad for Max, even though he was a trooper. His favorite things were the moving bed, the rocking chair, the wagon rides, and all the TV he wanted. I'm just glad to be home and have my little guy back.

He was so excited to see his sister!

Graduation

I can't believe my little girl is off to kindergarten next year. She has loved going to preschool at Miss Kim's and is going to miss her, but as Tyler says "I'm ready for big girl school".
